Hi,
Starting with VMWare vSphere 4 Update 1 I’ve been having the same issue due to VMWare using a WDDM driver instead of a XPDM driver in their VMWare Tools. When you’re using a software distribution process like SCCM you can install the VMWare Tools by adding: “ADDLOCAL=ALL REMOVE=SVGA” in the install line, this will install the SVGA video driver instead of the 3D driver.
When you’re using XenDesktop and the desktop immediately disconnects after you connect to it from the Web Interface you’re facing the same issue.
